Parking at Carnival Belo Horizonte 2017 – ParkCloud Recommends
2.4 million people are expected to line the streets of Belo Horizonte this year for the Carnival for food, drink, dancing and events! The city will be lit up with traditional costumes and parades, plus 3 stages with entertainment across the city. Here are some of the highlights and information if you decide to visit the festival!
- Keep up to date with everything that's happening at the Carnival with the official app – available on iOS and Android, it will include programming of the official stages, free Wi-Fi hotspots, toilets and useful telephone numbers.
- If you want to take children, head to the Américo Renné Giannetti Municipal Park where there will be costume workshops and a child friendly carnival space. Starting at 9am, it's all free to attend!
- On Monday the 27th, tradition, elegance and creativity will brighten the Avenida Afonso Pena with parades of Caricatos Blocks and Samba Schools! Don't miss out on the amazing costumes, music and dancing!
- If you're driving in, park at BH Park – a super convenient car park for those wanting to park in the city centre. Located by the side of university hospital Sao Jose, you can enjoy the carnival knowing your car is in a safe and secure place.
- If you want to see some traditional samba music, definitely head to Mineirão's Esplanade on the 28th of Feburary. Before the beginning of the parade, The Monobloco group will be performing some incredible samba music in the street! There'll be dancing, drinking and fun so don't miss it.
