Compare Parking at Copenhagen Airport
At Copenhagen Airport, there are two main types of parking: short-term parking and long-term parking. Short-term parking, or P-Kort, is located closest to the terminals and offers the fastest access to the airport. Parking close to Terminals 2 or 3 provides the convenience of quickly and effortlessly reaching your gate, making it ideal for those on tight schedules, whether departing or landing. These parking spaces are more expensive, as you pay per hour, compared to long-term parking, or P-Lang, which is situated a bit further from the terminals but is considerably cheaper, with charges per day.
Consider these factors before choosing your parking:
Parking close to Terminals 2 and 3 at Copenhagen Airport saves you time by offering spaces directly connected to your terminal. These spots are typically more expensive but provide easy access to the airport.
Budget-friendly car parks are available if price is your top priority. You can find cheaper options a bit further from the terminals, many of which offer free 24-hour shuttle buses to the airport, ensuring you reach your terminal quickly and easily.
Parking with additional services: Some car parks offer extra services such as surveillance, car washes, or indoor parking. Choose the solution that best fits your needs.
Parking at Copenhagen Airport Terminals 1, 2 and 3
Copenhagen Airport has three terminals: Terminal 1, Terminal 2, and Terminal 3. Currently, Terminal 1 is closed for normal operations. It's crucial to check which terminal your airline operates from to ensure a smooth and stress-free travel experience. Knowing this in advance will help you go directly to the correct terminal for check-in and security, saving you both time and worry.
Terminal 2 primarily handles airlines except for SAS, Air Baltic, Alsie Express, DAT - Danish Air Transport, Icelandair, TAP Air Portugal, and Wideroe.
Terminal 3 is mainly used by SAS, Air Baltic, Alsie Express, DAT - Danish Air Transport, Icelandair, TAP Air Portugal, and Wideroe. All airline arrivals take place in Terminal 3.
To simplify your journey, check your airline before choosing your car park. This ensures you find the parking option that best meets your needs and guarantees a stress-free trip.
About Copenhagen Airport
Copenhagen Airport, known as Kastrup (Danish: Københavns Lufthavn, Kastrup), is an international airport serving Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, as well as Zealand, the Øresund Region, and southern Sweden, including Scania. In 2023, it stands as the largest airport in the Nordic countries.
As the busiest airport in Scandinavia for international travel, Copenhagen Airport served 30.3 million passengers in 2019. It is also one of the oldest international airports in Europe and ranks as the fourth busiest in Northern Europe.
Located on the island of Amager, the airport lies just 8 kilometres (5 miles) south of Copenhagen's city centre and 24 km (15 miles) west of Malmö city centre, connected via the Øresund Bridge. Covering an area of 11.8 km² (4.6 sq mi), most of the airport is situated in the municipality of Tårnby, with a small section in the city of Dragør.
Copenhagen Airport serves as the main hub for Scandinavian Airlines and is also a base for Sunclass Airlines and Norwegian Air Shuttle.
Owned by Københavns Lufthavne, which also operates Roskilde Airport, Copenhagen Airport employs 1,700 people, not including staff at shops and restaurants.
Originally named Kastrup Airport after the nearby town of Kastrup, now part of Tårnby municipality, the formal name remains Copenhagen Airport, Kastrup, to distinguish it from Roskilde Airport.
